This is War | Hurricane

Not long ago I downloaded new album of 30 Seconds to Mars - This Is War.

First impression - poor.
Second - better.
After a little bit of text message chat with Anne, I decided that it's not bad after all. She told me that the absolute #1 is Hurricane. Now I can't not agree. The song is powerful. Worthy song of the band I love.

The entire album, though, is quite surprising. Maybe my first impression wasn't good because of it's oddness? It's hard to say. It sure is different from previous ones. But the longer I listen to the songs the more I'm into them, the more I feel them. Well, I guess comparing to A Beautiful Lie, This Is War may be even better. If I was asked to tell my favorite songs of 30 STM these would be several songs from A Beautiful Lie yet, while naming my favorite album of their, I'd pick the self-titled one.

One this I was truly shocked haring was in Stranger In a Strange Land and the line:
I fuck you like the devil

Which is A LOT different from the good old bad-language-free 30STM. I was trying to recall if there was any of such vocab in their previous songs, but I really couldn't. Anne decided Jared is getting frustrated getting old, I'd say in this context I'd be something else. But then it would really turn out I have one-track mind XD But isn't this obvious?! (the lyrics I mean, not my one-track-mindness, but that maybe too ^^;;;;;;)

I can't actually say much about the other songs much since I've been continuously listening to hurricane for good 2 hours now, over and over again. I only hope that this song even though truly amazing won't wear out as soon as the other do (usually). Hey! It's 30 Seconds to Mars after all, there really make quality stuff :3

No matter how many times did you told me you wanted to leave
No matter how many times did you told me you wanted to leave
No matter how many breaths that you took you still couldn't breath
No matter how many nights did you lay wide awake to the sound of the poison rain

Where did you go? where did you go? where did you go?

(Heart beat, a heart beat, I need a... heart beat, a heart beat...)

Tell me would you kill to save for a life?
Tell me would you kill to prove you’re right?
Crash, crash, burn let it all burn
This hurricane’s chasing us all underground

No matter how many deaths that I die, I will never forget
No matter how many lives I live, I will never regret
There's a fire inside, of this heart, in a riot, about to explode into flames
Where is your God? Where is your God? Where is your God? ...

Do you really want?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me dead?
Or alive to torture for my sins?

Do you really want?
[heart beat, a heart beat]
Do you really want me?
[I need a.. heart beat, a heart beat]
Do you really want me dead?
[you know I gotta leave, I can't stay,
I know I gotta go, I can't stay]
Or alive to live a lie?

Tell me would you kill to save for a life?
Tell me would you kill to prove you’re right?
Crash, crash, burn let it all burn
This hurricane’s chasing us all underground

You say you wrong, you wrong, I'm right, I'm right, you're wrong, we fight
Ok, I'm running from the light, running from the day to night
Oh, the quiet silence defines our misery
The riot inside keeps trying to visit me
No matter how we try, it's too much history
Too many bad notes playing in our symphony

So let it breathe, let it fly, let it go
Let it fall, let it crash, burn slow
And then you call upon God
Oh you call upon God

Tell me would you kill to save for a life?
Tell me would you kill to prove you’re right?
Crash, crash, burn let it all burn
This hurricane’s chasing us all underground

This hurricane...

Do you really want?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me dead?
Or alive to torture for my sins?

Do you really want?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me dead?
Or alive to live a lie

(Running away from the night, running away from the light)
Running away to save you’re life

As soon as I'll have more money I'm gonna buy this album along with Crash Love by AFI and Artwork by The Used.
