Amazon has a new Lab&Scientific (beta) section, which is pretty cool. However, it is clear that non-scientists are writing the catalog, for no scientist worth their pipettes would ever miss this typo:

i remember YEARS ago i sent an email to google (with my resume because i'm that tacky) that they should do a sciencey google for searching journal articles, patents, and textbooks. i never got a response, and a couple years later google scholar came out. and i still coulda done better if i'd been on the team.

Oh good grief - I've spent most of the last month putting together a (so far) £13,000 order for laboratory equipment. PLEASE don't tell me I've got to check 18 pages to see if bloody Amazon does things cheaper. Aaaaarrrrggggghhhhh!
