Roderich had taken off work early because it was Monday and Mondays weren't meant to be spent locked up in an office, looking over contracts for new exhibits.
He was having friends over for histhe kittens today. After giving Heracles his home address (and knowing the man would take some time before he could get there), Roderich headed home to change and get his house ready.
Though he said he wasn't going to keep the cats, there were already a bag of cat food in the kitchen as well as other make-shift cat accessories loitering his living room. And the cats that were supposed to be in the backyard were lazing around, making themselves very comfortable on his couch.
Roderich wasn't too pleased about the fur on his leather couch, but he would survive it.
He checked the time and shuffled to the kitchen to check on his cake, hoping it would be finished in time for Kim and Heracles' arrivals.

She reached his house, and stretched a little. Her mom had designed some school uniforms for Kim, and she liked them, so she always wore on to school. Today was no exception. A nice, black uniform with a skirt right below her knees, almost like the ones you saw in anime shows. Only this one wasn't as.... revealing. She had the sweater, not a top or t-shirt, and a bow in her hair. This one was white and not as big as the one she'd worn at Feliciano's party. For some reason, she felt like she was dressed too stupid. But oh well, it was her own fault for not heading home to change first.
Going over to the door, she rang the doorbell, and waited.
(( OOC: Icon shows how she's dressed. Just pretend the bow's white, not red. x3))
Roderich closed the oven just in time to hear his doorbell ringing. He stepped to the living room and eyed the kittens meowing on his sofa. As long as they weren't scratching anything... but he didn't really like how the smaller one (the one he had named Allegro) was licking itself.
He ignored them for the moment and headed to the front door after he made sure his house was clean and ready for reception.
As he had expected, Kim arrived first.
"Welcome, it's nice to see you," he greeted. He eyed Kim's clothes; he didn't recall LU requiring uniform... but maybe it was just Kim's personal preference.
He said as he showed the way in, "You look lovely. Please come in."

Kim blushed a little when he commented her clothes, but followed him in, and heard the meowing. The schoolbag was taken off, and she set it down nicely against the wall in the hallway, before stepping inside the living room. Seeing the kittens, her face turned into a bright smile. They were so cute!

Roderich took the cake out of the oven and set it aside to cool. In the meantime, he prepared the tea that Heracles had bought for him. It was his favorite kind of him; Heracles knew him well.
After brewing the tea and cutting the cake (which took forever thanks to his sense of perfection), Roderich came out to the living room with the afternoon snack in his hand. He set the tray of food on the coffee table as he listened in to Kim and Heracles' conversation. It seemed they were getting to know each other; that was a good sign.
"Please enjoy these," he said softly, walking over to take a seat on the armchair off to the side.

" I'm from Vietnam. I moved here with my Mom when I was ten." Kim answered, looking at Heracles. " I was a little sad at first, but I grew to like this place a lot. There are so many nice people here." she said. Andante had woken up now, and was purring, just relaxing in her lap.
She saw Roderich come back to the living room, and saw the cake. It looked very good. Kim could feel her mouth water just by the sight of it. " It looks lovely." she said.
"Wow Vietnam, I've never met anyone from there before." Heracles replied looking up at Kim with interest. "They're silk art is beautiful, from what I've seen at the museum."
He put the catnip down and allowed Allegro to settle down just as Roderich entered the living room. He saw the cake and tea and smiled. His boss sure did love his cake, and by the looks and smells was a pretty good baker as well.
"You didn't have to go through all that trouble," he replied. "But thanks boss, it looks really good."

Roderich watched the kittens for a moment. Well, he did say he wasn't going to keep them, but looking at them now, he knew he was going to miss the cats. Even though it had only been a day since they came into his life. But, Kim and Heracles would take good care of them, so he would survive.
He poured a cup of tea for each of them. He took his cup and leaned against his chair.
"It's not a trouble at all," he said to Heracles, "I like baking, and it's always nice to have guests over."
He took a sip of his tea and smiled at how good it tasted. And it was free, so it tasted even better.
" That sounds like a good idea." Kim said, and looked at Andante. " You're coming with me now, sweetie. We're gonna be great friends." she smiled and stood up, snuggling the little kitten, who was purring happily.
Kindly get out of my house now.notaustralianJuly 30 2009, 00:52:21 UTC
Roderich gathered up what little he had and handed them over to Kim and Heracles evenly. There were just a small bag of cat food, dishes, and some toys.
"I must thank you both for taking them off my hands," he said, walking them to the door. "I trust they will have a good life with you two."
He smiled at his two friends and glanced at the kitties. They would definitely have a good life.
Heracles carried the bags he brought over and the cat supplies Roderich had given him in his left arm, and held Allegro securely in his right as he walked toward the door.
"Thanks for trusting us with them boss," he replied as they reached the doorway. He turned to Kim and gave her a small smile.
"It was nice meeting you," he said with a slight bow. "If you ever would like another tour, don't hesitate to drop by the museum. And I'm sure the kittens would like to keep in touch as well." He turned back to his boss and wished him good night, a look of contentment settling across his face as he left the gate to Roderich's home.
