It was already nearing the end of the day as drifting clouds hung low across the horizon, muddling the assortment of colors that chimed in the setting sun. A couple of the other firefighters managed to open the door of one of the two smashed cars. The driver had banged his head against the steering wheel, and was bleeding from the head. He did NOT look to be in a very good shape, and was knocked out too. There were two kids in the backseat, a little toddler in a baby seat, who was crying, while the girl next to him was unconscious too. The baby had gotten VERY lucky, and seemed to be only shook up and scared, not hurt like his sister and Dad. " C'mon, kiddo.." one said, and carefully got the little boy out, while the others worked on getting his family out of the wrecked vehicle ( ... )
