"Open the closet. I wanna put my stuff in." Whether he had any idea how rude this statement was, or just didn't care, had such little significance that Romano didn't bother to waste another second thinking about it.
Yes, he was feeling guilty, and yes he had made some attempts to be nicer to the Spaniard. But there was still another part of him that was really just, uncivilized. And it was that part that failed to connect 'clearing floor space' with 'announcing his long-term stay and pushing Antonio even further out of his own room.'
Still, there was reason he wasn't making much eye contact.

There was no way he was going to manually unpack everything now, he just simply wanted it off the floor and into a more well-hidden corner. Taking out a few of the topmost jackets Romano hung them on the hangers Antonio had made vacant and proceeded to kneel down to lift the entire duffel bag. He was in the middle of dumping it -or trying to dump it, not being as tall as he had hoped- on the topmost shelf when the bag's end nicked the door shut.
"-it automatically locks from the outside"...What?" Still almost cradling the bag, Romano glanced back over his shoulder at the door. The door that was now closed. And locked ( ... )

"Well that was slick" Antonio laughed loudly, unfazed by his klutzy maneuver. He looked up at the Italian sitting on the shelf. He reached back and put his arms behind his head and smiling wide.
He closed his eyes and raised one arm up in the arm straight up in the air. He then promptly began to hum and wave his hand back and forth. Despite that he had worked nearly 18 hours straight he found himself in an extremely good mood.

There was no way he would give Antonio the honour of seeing him enjoy himself, especially not because of something the Spaniard had done.
"Retard."
However what Antonio did next entirely confused him, and Romano was left staring at him with a raised eyebrow and clueless expression. They'd only been in the closet for ten minutes and he was already going insane.
And unlike his friend, Romano had done close to nothing the whole day.

"Hey Lovi~ Come here. I have something for you" He said with a wide smile. He pulled his legs to a crossed position and placed his hands in his lap. He knew that Romano would ask why, but at this point in time he really didn't care about that.
All he knew was that he wanted the Italian closer to him.
Just as the words left his mouth however, the light above him flickered and went out without warning. Antonio looked up at the light as if that was going to help. However, when it didn't he just continued blinking for for a few more moments before turning and looking in the direction that Lovi was in.

Rising to his feet Romano gave a characteristic frown, taking two cautious steps towards his friend and stopping again. "The hell do you want?"
Unfortunately, it was then that the light decided to go out, leaving him to stand clueless and awkward in the middle of the closet. "What the-.." Oh this was just great. Stuck indefinitely in a small closet with a slightly-too-happy affectionate Spaniard, and the light dies.
Sighing Romano carefully reached out with his hands, shuffling his feet towards what he hoped would be a wall or line or clothes..or something.
It wasn't that he was afraid of the dark or anything- what could possibly go wrong in a small closet like this. He just didn't like all the creepily malformed figures and silhouettes his mind liked ( ... )

He didn't object, Romano had no fight left in him to do so. A defiant voice in the back of his head was still screaming at him to stop, to strike Antonio or something, but that voice was insignificant and drowning fast.
Whether Antonio had realised or it not, the Italian's 'wall' had not necessarily been broken down. Rather it had simply changed it's form, from a stubborn conscience to a very patient, doting Spaniard.
No words could describe what this meant for Romano's dependency, as he pressed his head against the other's chest and stared out into the darkness.
"You better not go back to Spain, Antonio."
It felt awkward and strange talking (or rather muttering into his shirt) after such silence, such events, not to mention actually calling him by his name for once..

"Don't worry. I'm not going anywhere Romano" He whispered gently. Antonio looked down at the Italian's head and smiled his first true smile in a while. Romano wanted him. Probably not in the way that Antonio wanted the Italian but at least enough to ask tell him to stay. Now that they had gotten that far, the Spanish man wouldn't be going home for a while.
Not only had he called Romano by his real name, but the serious note in his voice made sure that his the italian knew how he really felt.
Though, if he didn't by now than something was wrong.
