At the knock on the door, Sindre crossed the room to open it. He spared a moment of amusement over the fact that he felt comfortable enough in Wilm's house to answer his door before he tugged it open.
Upon seeing Ludwig standing there, Sindre stepped aside to usher the boy in. "Happy birthday," he greeted. "Come on in."
Willem echoed the sentiment from where he sat on the couch, fingers buried in the fur of the cat curled up in his lap. No one should have to spend their birthday alone, especially not a birthday made for getting seriously drunk. He grinned as he noticed the beer in Ludwig's hand, gestured towards the kitchen as he instructed the other man to put them in the fridge and grab one already cold.
The other man hadn't picked up a cake on his way over, so all they had for sweets were leftovers from the cafe. Not quite a birthday cake, but since Kai have baked them they'd work for the purpose.
Ludwig walked into the den holding a cold can of beer, feeling slightly awkward in spite of himself. He looked at Willem questioningly, silently asking if he could sit.
