Who: Valdi, Other people (OPEENNNN) Where: The Coffee Shoppe When: Wednesday 20th July, 3.30pm onward What: Something's happened to Liberty, and Valdi is determined to find out what.
"Damn straight I came." Then she quickly corrected herself, "I mean I arrived to get this problem solved, done, and over with." Nicoleta deliberately dropped her tome on the table, which shook the table to a tremble. There had been too much shit going and so she was serious about it. The whole dark attire thing, however, was just Nicoleta feeling like the color black. There was no mythical reason or symbolism behind it, really. The color did a good deed hiding her within the shadows from her charming prince. She wouldn't lie that she didn't want to leave him either

Kai slid in beside him and Valdi intertwined his hand within his own beneath the counter, a hidden display of affection and a 'thank you' for turning up at all. Especially without the doll.
His other hand lay rest atop the wooden surface as he leaned forward to get a look at what Heike was filling out-- a cheque? That was....that was a lot of money. Curiosity urged him to ask, but Nicoleta's interruption brought his attention back to the topic at hand.
"...Major sacrificing?" Why would anyone want to sacrifice life for something like this? "I don't know about Heike, but we can probably only help with Nordic languages."
He nodded, "Jo, luck. I have lots of luck...those around me not so much." he explained, expanding on his problem a bit with a rather helpless shrug accompanying it. "Would rather I didn't jinx anyone that got near me."
He paled slightly at the talk of sacrificing, probably from how calmly she mentioned it, before shaking it off at his name being mentioned, "Ah well, Luxembourgish, French, German, Dutch and possibly Portugese?" He listed off before giving another shrug, "It's not a lot really." he added without a hint of sarcasm before twirling his hair in his finger. Using three languages in school before being made to take classes in a further two (one of which he spoke in at home already) and one outside of school had messed up his concept on what was a normal number of languages he should know. He pondered a bit more. "Maybe Flemish too? Depends on the text really."

Nicoleta shook her head, admitting that she couldn't answer to it. She unlocked the the chain that was bounding the book and then opened it up to the table of contents. The pages were worn out, moth bitten, fragile, and had a dying white color due to years (or even decades) of neglect.
"Knock yourselves out. It's heavy so leave it on the table." She leaned back and then folded her arms. "Don't ruin it or else I'll gut ya." Nico then gave the Heike kid a glance.
Kai gripped Valdi's hand fiercely with a quick goofy grin, an expression that quickly dissipated into notes of confusion as Heike extended the check towards him. "Ah-- did you actually--" He battled to speak over the rattling of his own curiosity, taking the thin slip from the other's hand to peer down at the numbers
