There was only one good thing about chaotic lunch rushes such as this one, Emi thought as she zigzagged her way around the cluttered bunches of tables and restaurant goers, and that was the influx of money and personal tips. Otherwise, she was sure she'd be driven absolutely insane at the near rowdiness and constant orders and demands coming through. But she supposed it was a good thing she had help during Quetzal's busiest hours, lest she find herself feeling more overwhelmed than usual ( ... )

Getting Emi alone was easier and quicker than Natalia typically managed. Usually a fight and some choice words were involved - not that Natalia actually minded - before they got anywhere. Perhaps the times when she was in a rush or on a schedule she could come whenever the restaurant was bustling with business. But that was a thought to be saved for later.

Normally she would not allow this without some sort of resistance and retaliation, but as this fell in line with her intentions, she didn’t mind for once. As soon as they were alone in the privacy of Emi’s flat, “I need something from you,” Natalia said simply, over-mincing her words.

Door soon shut and locked behind them, Emi turned toward Natalia, her brow furrowed in wary confusion as soon as she was sure that they were both alone. She felt a bit guilty leaving the others behind to handle the lunch rush, but she pushed that thought aside for the time being as she continued to stare at the blonde.

"You know we never meet during the day, Natalia." Her lips pursed briefly. "And I really don't have time for our...games right now. So unless it is important, I suggest you stop by later tonight once I've closed up."

“You were Nobility, yes?” Natalia asked, heedless of whatever Emi said. Unimportant in the grand scheme of things - Natalia just needed her questions answered.
