Tori was in the process of locking his store, he may have had a bit of a smaller shop and not nearly as many fancy or expensive looking items roaming around in it, but he was no stranger to his items going 'mysteriously missing'. Sliding a few items back into their place, the store resembled a cluttered mess, but it was organized, just not in away that made sense to anyone else besides the store owner himself.
Hearing the knock on the door, he looked up and tilted his head towards the door, as if it would have the answer to who stood behind it. It, of course, wouldn't. Sighing and standing up, Toris dusted himself off a bit before heading to open up the door, hoping it wasn't someone who'd come to take something. But then again, why would they knock?
Luck was on his side for that evening when he found a familiar face on the other side of his doorway and Toris smiled slightly, "Little Thief. What brings you here?"
"S' not too late is it?" Valdi shifted his weight to get a look past Toris into the shop, trying to determine how close the other was to going home. "I came to pick up something for Storebror, but if its too late i'll return later."
Valdi always figured it was best to be as polite as possible to people, even when they treated him like absolute shit. It was one way to avoid an argument, and Valdi had neither the tact nor the build to hold his own against a larger man (read: the entire population).
Not that he thought Toris was that sort of person, but it was even more reason to be polite to him.
"No no, it's fine, come in." Opening the door completely, Toris waved the other inside and shutting the door behind him carefully and stepping farther back into the store. "I'm actually a little bit behind on that certain project," He confessed, a little bit ashamed, he was usually more on top of things than this, but it was a quick finish so it wouldn't take too much time.
"You can look around for a moment, or come to the back with me, as long as you don't promise to take anything." That last bit was him just teasing. So far this particular group hadn't done anything to warrant his direct supervision while in the shop, though he'd done so at the very beginning.
"I'll come watch," Valdi gave the shop a quick once over, noting anything that had not been there before, and if possible anything that seemed to be missing. He had not been to Toris' stall enough to formulate a complete working memory of the place, but there didn't seem to be anything that would interest him more than watching the other finish Sindre's project.
