Who: Willem and Sindre When: Saturday about 11, June 18 Where: Wilm’s apartment What: Sindre clears out so Valdi can have the apartment for himself, and he and Wilm play catch-up.
"A beer is fine, thanks," Sindre replied as he made his way to Nijntje's cage. Poking his fingers through the bars, he stroked at her fur, particularly behind her ears. Vague memories always spurred him to greet the rabbit when he entered Wilm's apartment.
"I'm glad you were free today," Sindre told Wilm, settling on the couch after his time with the rabbit was complete. "'s good to see you, and I figured I ought to be nice to Kai every once and a while, to let him see Valdi without brotherly oversight."
Willem grabbed two beers from the fridge. He opened them, and came into the living room in time to see Sindre petting Nijntje. The sight made him smile.
"He'll appreciate that," he replied, setting the drinks down on the coffee table. And then stopped as a thought occurred to him.
"Are you supposed to be drinking with whatever meds they have you on?" he asked.
Sindre faltered for only a moment as he reached for his bottle. Opening it and raising it to his lips, Sindre took a small drink, hoping it had all been smooth enough not to catch notice.
"There shouldn't be any problems," he responded. It wasn't a lie. Alcohol couldn't react poorly with pain medication if there was no pain medication in his system.
Smiling, Sindre glanced to the cat once before returning his attention to Wilm. "I'm glad it's going well for the two of you. You deserve what happiness you can bring to each other."
He was going to say more, but at that moment Lucy jumped up and snatched Bestemor's charm from his pocket before running off. Staring for a moment, Sindre hauled himself to his feet and followed the cat as best as he could with his injury.
When Lucy darted into Wilm's bedroom, Sindre didn't hesitate to follow. It took him longer to flatten himself against the floor to peer at the cat under the bed. Pulling out some canvases so as to better reach the cat, he finally retrieved the charm.
Slowly backing away from the bed, he got a glimpse of the paintings. A scuff at the door had him looking up at Wilm. "What are these?"
He knew what she was going to do a second before she did, but by the time he had moved to stop her she already had a hold of something that had been sticking out of Sindre's pocket and was away over the back. He saw her dart towards the kitchen, and presumably towards her hiding place atop the fridge.
The Dutchman moved to stand in the kitchen doorway to head her off, and when she realized his intent she turned and streaked into his bedroom. Willem uttered a curse in Dutch before striding the length of the apartment after her.
"Sorry," he told Sindre as he came though the door into his bedroom. "She' taken to....."
He stopped in mid sentence at the sight of the Norwegian sitting on his bedroom floor beside the paintings from a weekend that was still fuzzy in his mind.
"Just something I one weekend. Nothing special."
And they weren't really. They were good for him, but not really anything exciting overall.

"If you're sure," he responded. "Although if something does you get to explain it to Valdi."
He sat down on the couch beside the other man, taking a drink of his own beer.
"Noticed you got a new bed."

"Is that me with a rabbit's face?"

"I'm not quite sure what that's about," he confessed. "That whole weekend was a bit....fuzzy."
