She greeted Marcello with the traditional kiss on both cheeks because he looked like he deserved it, gave Romano the hair-tousling-and-tease combo, as well as met someone new, a rather good looking Spaniard by the name of Antonio.
Going to mass the second time was a lot nicer than going with the Braginskys. Particularly because the mood was less austere and tense. There was also no Russian man to partially glare at either. All in all, it was a pleasant event. Once Easter mass wrapped up, dinner was to be held at Romano's nifty mansion. It has been a while since she set foot in that extravagant abode but she was excited about other things. Ghosts, what else? "If you want to cheer me up, then you can go home." Romano retorted, burying his head in his arms at the end of the Dining Room table.
He never quite understood Nicoleta; she was always claiming that she was trying to make him feel better, but everything she did, nay her entire existence, seemed to contradict that.
Looking away from her he lifted his head to glance lazily down the table as Antonio and Marcello lagged behind, caught up in some sort of conversation.
They got along well, he mused and wondered idly how much he'd spent to keep them both in the country.

Sure, he'd been too caught up in the trial to remember about Lent this year, but he figured dealing with the trial itself was penance enough for it. Plus he had made it to Mass. So he figured he must be in okay standing so far as all of that went.
Besides, he was able to hang out with Marc again, who was a pretty nice kid, and he'd met Nico, who was pretty interesting. Getting to see Lovi joke around (even if he wasn't really smiling too much) with his relatives was a pretty special thing in and of its own. And today, it felt like he really was a part of that family, instead of just the guy who happened to spend most of his free time with Lovi.
