Nicoleta being Nicoleta, appeared ten minutes late. No no, make that fifteen minutes late because she wanted to stay in the car in spite of Elizaveta. She wondered in the world that Hungarian woman wanted. Pft.

She walked into the bar and noticed that loathsome Elizaveta by the counter. Given, Nicoleta shouldn't feel so hateful towards her boss. An added bonus, she doesn't care.

"So?" Nicoleta rose her voice to attract Elizaveta's attention as she made a beeline towards the counter. With a condescending gaze, she stared at the other woman. "What do you want from me?"

Late. Late late late late late. Elizaveta turned around to the other woman, clearly showing her annoyance. "You're late."

Leaning her hip onto the counter, she crossed her arms. "Let me tell you something, alright? If you're going to be co-manager of this bar, then you can't be late when I ask you to meet me somewhere."

Her eyes widened, as she instantly regretted saying it so fast. "Shit, I didn't mean to say that so quickly. I guess what I want to say is," she looked at Nico grudgingly, "Do you want a promotion? You'll have to work harder, though."

She rolled her eyes as she shrugged. "What, is that a huge surprise?" said Nicoleta pragmatically.

Then she stared at the other woman. "... Ce?" Co-manager? What the fuck?

There was a pregnant pause between them as she contemplated. Usually people would agree in a heartbeat but this was different. "How will this interfere with my shift? I don't want anything earlier than 4PM."

"It's more than a fucking shift, Nicoleta." Elizaveta rolled her eyes as well, already feeling her nerves being tugged. "For co-manager, sometimes you don't even need to serve people. I'll take care of most of the finances, but you need to watch the bar, make sure the workers are doing their job, look for things that we can improve on, and promote us."

Maybe she had been wrong. Maybe Nicoleta really... wasn't right for this. "I just need someone to split the workload for looking after this place."
