WHO: Sindre and Toris WHEN: April 21st, early Thursday afternoon WHERE: Coffee Shoppe WHAT: Sindre needs someone to talk to, Toris happens to be far enough from the situation enough to do so.
Sindre had been staring at the ground, lost in thought, when Toris' voice startled him out of his thoughts. He opened his mouth, then closed it, reconsidering
( ... )
"Ah..." Toris let the word roll around in his mind for a moment, well aware of the irony that they were now sitting in the exact opposite position since their last serious discussion. The other side of it didn't feel any less uncomfortable. Tapping the warm cup he took a drink before sitting down on one of the side benches.
Letting his gaze wander to the setting sun, he was silent for a long moment and then he glanced back at the blond and his eyebrows furrowed in worry at the look on his friend's face that was hardly lost in the darkening shadows. He figured this probably wasn't just a friend.
"I'm sorry" The words seemed so inadequate here, awkward and unneeded, but despite all that, he did mean it. He couldn't exactly understand why he was the one that was here with Sindre when he was in such a state, but he would do what he could.
"If you need to talk, I'll listen." It was the least he could do after all.
Pushing himself up to the top part of the picnic table to sit next to the blond, Toris hesitated for a moment before putting a hand on the other's shoulder, quietly lending his support, letting Sindre chose if he wanted to continue or not.
He understood that it was painful to have someone leave, especially someone who you'd come to think of in 'that way'. Though he wasn't sure what it would feel like to had never quite gotten to be an actual couple first. In a small, roundabout way, however, Toris related.
