My Linh had long since locked herself in her room after dinner,Gilbert was somewhere on the edge of unconsciousness and so of course this left one Frenchman alone, tidying up out of habit and utter boredum. He had thought to call Veronika, for... company only of course. Their night before had been something he had most certainly needed and the other woman seemed to understand him more than anyone else cared to bother.

But just as he had thought to find his cellphone somewhere amid the dirty laundry, he heard a knock at the door and grinned. Perhaps they were more alike than he had thought before- a surprise visit would be more than welcome now-

Rushing over to the door, he opened it quickly without looking through the peephole, eyes widening and face paling as he saw just who was on the otherside. "M-MERDE-" he made to close the door again, a lock of his hair almost aching just from the sight.

"Quoi- What do you want from me this time?!" he hissed out. "I 'ave not gone near Nicoleta-!"

"I know you haven't," Ion mumbled back, not looking at anything in particular. "I just--"

He choked a little, feeling his pride taking a hit at asking this man for anything, despised as he was. Ion winced and focused his gaze down on his wrists, slightly swollen and slowly bruising. It was suddenly a sight he didn't much feel like seeing, so he crossed his arms defensively, hiding them away in the folds of his coat.

"I just need somewhere to stay one night that is not park bench. And you would not ask too many questions, da?"
