Who: The Cleric and the Barbarian When: Sunday, March 19th Where: Infinity Comics What: With Alfred to guide her, Lili has a coming-of-age journey as she truly finds her nerd niche.
The sight of Alfred was a relief to Lili as she stood idly in front of the shop, swaying to and fro. A part of her wanted to venture inside to look and see what this whole world was like. The most she knew about the game was that the pictures looked really awesome and that her half-orc got very angry sometimes, which she assumed wasn't saying much. So in order to save herself from embarrassment, she stayed put until the blonde boy arrived.
She had taken in the words of the cleric but could only keep her eyes on the door as she peered excitedly into the growing portal between the bustling streets of real-life, and the small fantastical world she was being brought into. A large smile, full of curiosity and wonder, spread quickly across her face as she took in all the figurines and cards displayed across the tables, and the books covering the walls. "This is so cool." She whispered, barely audible to anyone.
While still admiring the store, Lili felt Alfred tug her hand in the direction of a corner she had not noticed before. Choose

Alfred reached up, snatching the dice down and pressing them into her hand for a moment before pulling them back. "It's just like picking a wand in Harry Potter." Popping the cap open, he crouched down over the ground, giving the young girl a very serious look as he pulled out the twenty-sided die.
"You have to see the sparks." He dropped the dice into her hand, pointing at the ground. "Roll it."

Just as Harry took the phoenix feather wand from Ollivander on that fateful day, Lili clasped the die in her hand and nodded, understandingly, at Alfred. Kneeling down nearer to the ground and closer to Alfred's current height, the young woman began to lull the die around in her hand and closed her eyes. With a soft blow onto die for luck and a quick intake of breath, she let the die roll out of her hand and onto the floor.
Her eyes opened up one at a time, soon enough locking on the pink die. "N-nineteen." She looked immediately up to Alfed, almost as if she was waiting for his approval. "That's pretty good, right?"
YES. JUST. YES. WE ARE TOO COOL FOR SCHOOLwaitforsupermanMarch 23 2011, 20:10:46 UTC
"That's amazing Lili!" Alfred said, grinning at her .and giving a thumbs up "You picked the right set right off the bat, that was near perfection. Jeez, you're a natural." This time he didn't pick up the dice. He knew he didn't want his own karma on her dice, especially when she had such good luck. Not that he minded if people touched dice- more just a... ceremonial kind of thing.
In one motion, he'd stood up and stretched, looking around, humming. "We should get you a figurine next, whaddya think?"
