These sunglasses were the best idea Amelia had ever come up with. They hid her face perfectly! Now she could go out shopping without being swarmed by people. And judging by the bags on near her feet as she poked through magazines -a little big of celebrity gossip; a little bit of motorcycle stuff- clearly her shopping trip had been successful.
Maybe just buy People and she could call it a day-
She looked to her right at the noise of a magazine hitting the ground and then up at the girl who was staring at her. With her mouth slightly open. Clearly a starstruck fan. Amelia felt her face immediately pull into a smile, a little bit forced but hey...
Clearly laying low wasn't working.
Not wanting the girl to cause much of a scene, Amelia walked over, picking up the magazine, holding it out to her. Play cool, act natural, pretend you're not a star! Just be a normal girl...
Sakura could only stammer in wide eyed ADORATION surprise. Amelia-sama was in the same shop. Amelia-sama was buying magazines. Amelia-sama was speaking to her.
It was almost too much to take.
The Japanese girl trembled, trying to will her arm to reach up to take back the magazine, trying to make her mouth work, trying to break eye contact with what surely were her eyes behind those glasses...
Lifting her sunglasses off of her face and securing them into her hair, Amelia quickly grabbed the shaking girl's arm, dragging her off into a corner of the magazine section, sitting down in an attempt to draw less attention to the pair of them.
Though if this girl has some kind of fit, which seemed almost inevitable at this point, Amelia was going to lose her low profile. "J-Just calm down," she said worriedly, "please- I'm trying to keep on the down low and if you freak out then everyone freaks out and I get stuck here for an hour signing and answering questions..."
She fiddled with a barrette in her hair, still watching the girl. "Do you even speak English?" because she was still getting a rather wide-eyed, Bambi-esque look from the girl.
Sakura allowed herself to be dragged off and sat down, embarrassed and excited and a little ashamed all at the same time. This sort of felt like a bizarre dream anyway, meeting a pop idol in her regular bookstore. For a moment, she just listened to the girl speaking, not quite picking up on the actual flow of words until they hit on a familiar question.
