Who: Nicoleta and Valdi (and Raivis?) Where: mall in Downtown Liberty When: Þorláksmessa December 23rd, around midday What: Valdi needs to shop. Nico knows a poor boy when she sees one
Wonderful! Christmas shopping is always full of life! People walking around, their little eyes sparkling at the ridiculous sales that might not be sales after all! For the longest time, Nicoleta has been in the frequent habit of many successful attempts of moonlighting, thus rendering the whole idea of shopping uselessOcassionally, though, Nicoleta does buy things with her own money. She has been saving up over the months and promised herself this month to absolutely not steal anything until mid-January. By then, Jesus was old enough so the celebrations would die off! Then, the sin-making will run rampant, only to be completely purified by Easter

I see what you did there.puffin_magicDecember 23 2010, 08:29:37 UTC
Valdi gave the woman a side-long glance; it wasn't often that strangers approached him like that, even in this city. "That depends what he likes." He moved along a bit, dismissing the jacket for now to peruse through the rest of the clothing aisle.
So this is what polite conversation during Christmas time was like. No one he was always told to get his presents sorted out early.
"Why don't you ask his friends or relatives or something." Valdi made a quick scan of the store, looking for a escape route distraction or new range of clothes. His attention was drawn to the front of the store, to a $10 tie rack situated appropriately next to the 'Last Chance' bargain pile.
I couldn't resist. It's so easy to pick on him B|5minutetheftDecember 23 2010, 19:25:19 UTC
Indifferent about his lack of response - or interest if she noticed but sadly did not - she snorted in amusement. "He's a fashionable punk but he needs to wear more warm clothes." Ah, how cute! This boy is trying to not notice her!
She glanced around, wondering how far she should go on with this ruse or should she really buy something for Lovino? Absentmindedly, she replied, "Oh well relatives are all in Italy at the moment and I don't think he has any friends." None that she knew of was the truth but she felt obligated to talk about him to just anyone.
But the boy's attention directed at that $10 cheap-shit, where even she - frugal but knows what a good deal is - frowned in disapproval. "If you're lookin' at either of those two from afar, they probably won't last very long with its quality. I'd buy something that would last several years." Naturally, she jumped to conclusions. Proudly now, with her hands on her hips, she chimed, "Do you have enough in your wallet?"
So Lovi's presents....that was Valdi's fault for not having any input? I really did dig my own gravepuffin_magicDecember 26 2010, 12:36:31 UTC
"Oh...that's kinda sad." He noted absent-mindedly, flipping through the tie rack with a lack of enthusiasm one would usually find in a small child dragged around by their mother before Christmas. However unlike one particular Italian (and child) in question, Valdi wasn't about to throw a tantrum.
When Nico drew the discussion around to the two discount sets before him the boy paused, glancing from one to the other and then back to the woman. "I guess so-" And Sindre's very picky about everythi- wait, what?
He blinked. "E-Enough to afford this?? Of course I do. But i'm not gonna buy a $100 suit or anything." He didn't mean to sound that defensive but well, how poor did she know think he was?
