At the very least he was doing his half-brother a favor. Watching Doctor Who over the soap opera in the background - (Jackie and Arthur: Marathoning during primetime every day until after Christmas!) - was proving to be quite difficult. Arthur could now drink tea in peace while Ms. Ainsworth treated her son to a nice dinner. It wasn't like her to be late, and he could only imagine how strangely he looked sitting in a cafe half an hour past five sipping away at lukewarm earl grey tea.

In the silence that Nicoleta used to occupy her mind with a memory, Dewi occupied his mouth with a rather large piece of meat that took until after her following speech to swallow. Then we all sit down and drink wine and pop Christmas crackers so we can wear these ridiculous paper hats upon our heads and read the silly jokes inside the crackers. We have to record the Queen's speech though since England is five hours ahead."

Though it did make her wonder, she hardly found it demeaning due to the fact she does that herself all of the time. "Ah yeah? Hope nothing happens to his stuff as those trucks move 'em over. It'd be bad luck if it gets stolen." She chuckled at her own dark humor but it ended somewhat dryly since she conducts thefts herself. "America is real secure. Not like Romania. Corruption and all." And yet she found a perverse pleasure to the statement. Talking about her country is something she is more than eager to talk about ( ... )
