Sadiq had kept his word about choosing not to wear anything special to the date. Jeans and a red t-shirt, and then the usual pair of black converse shoes; some dirty old things that he wore everywhere. Over that was his jacket -- a black peacoat that he'd just recently purchased -- and a simple gray scarf, appropriate for the biting cold of November. It was a look he'd thrown on ten minutes prior to heading out the door, but somehow he arrived appearing somewhat respectable for once. A further inspection, and one could see that he shaved that morning, removing the unnecessary stubble and defining the thin, black line around his jaw. He'd brush it off as having too much free time that morning.
Sadiq stood at the entrance to the park for a few minutes as he arrived, looking around aimlessly for the person he had requested to meet. If anyone were to call it a date, he would deny it instantly. Deep down, he remembered very well what their exchange had been at the baths, and what they were supposed to mean to one-another by now. Startled, Gupta allowed himself to be dragged to his feet and broke into a smile at the sight of Sadiq, whom looked more dashing than normal despite that grumpy frown on his face. "Hello," he greeted, shamefully leaning up to kiss Sadiq on both cheeks. Sensing that Gupta had other matters to attend to, the couple smiled politely and went along their way, pulling along their whining puppy as it tried (unsuccessfully) to beg for more attention.

Sadiq only nodded to the couple as they removed themselves from the scene, though he didn't return the polite smile, unsurprisingly. He really couldn't anyway, not when Gupta was already kissing his cold cheeks in greeting, which were now turning red not only from the November air, but also from a warm blush -- a deadly combination of hot and cool. Gupta released Sadiq's face, evidently easily distracted by shiny objects. He stared at the strange... thing (it wasn't like snowflakes were commonly depicted in the Middle East), then up at Sadiq, a tentative smile forming on his pale lips. "For me?" The smile fully blossomed then, and he looked ready to lean up and kiss Sadiq once more. He had no idea the Turk had a soft side like this!
Refraining from embarrassing his date any more, he took the cookie out of the box gingerly, trying not to crack or break it with his gloved hands. "What am I supposed to do with it?" It doesn't LOOK edible, it looks like a piece of art!
