"Indirectly, yes. I know everyone in this town." Thera leaned on the counter as if she owned it. "I had lunch with his husband just last week. Atthis," she suddenly perked up, a smile blooming, "we should take Remy with us to dinner tonight. How lovely would that be?"

The speed with which Atthis's attention snapped to the small figure already owning her shop through sheer force of aura was nearly comical. A whiplash motion from a whipped woman, her lips had already parted to make a 'Yes, dear' that was blessedly cut short from the resurgence of her dignity. "Dinner?"

It must have been an incorrect translation, a temporary misalignment of her language comprehension or else an utter failure in reading the motives that inspired her Goddesses's actions. Her brows furrowed and she cocked her hips with a nervous re-shuffling of weight distribution. "I believe you have Exams soon, yes, Remy? I shouldn't like to keep you from your studies and I don't doubt you would wish to interrupt her education either, Thera?"

"Nonsense." Thera entirely dismissed Atthis. "There is always time for a nice evening."

"Uh, No, she's right." Atthis' sudden nervousness was a little contagious. Remy knew the woman's reaction couldn't bode well, and it seemed like a good idea to cut off that train of thought as soon as she could.

"End of the semester and all; projects are due next week, and finals are right after that... My evenings are kind of booked for a while. Thanks for the offer, though. Maybe some other time..." Not that she thought that would be such a good idea either, but she couldn't quite shut down the automatic, polite response.

Thera pouted. Or something like it. Remy couldn't tell if it was for real or not. "Oh, well, then..." Hands clapped together. "Next time then."
