Letting Al play the 'nice, we just wanna talk' part of their duo, Ali slammed one hang against the window cutting off any chance at escape, wand practically sparking with barely restrained anger though her glare turned into a very dangerous grin which was just as frightening.
"Mind telling us what the hell you thought you were doing last night, snake?" She fluttered her eyelashes like it was an innocent question, but her tone obviously said something completely different.

He walked over, leaning on the wall near Zhi's feet, smiling at him, the tip of his wand tapping against the ledge Zhi was curled up on. "Ali's right," he said, warmly, "Now I think you really should tell us what you were doing in our common room last night."
"Because last time I checked, you're not a Gryffindor," he tilted his head, watching the other boy with a smile even though his eyes were still cold and calculating, "you're just a slimy, inconsiderate snake."

"We'd really like to see if you have an excuse that's good enough to satisfy us" not that there would be a good enough answer, really. He'd end up with what he deserved anyway.

"Lighting the fireworks." And crashing the party. Obviously. Zhi didn't see the point in making an excuse; he had been caught, as had they. Only they had received the bigger punishment, and if he didn't manage an escape pretty soon, it would be his turn for it.
His eyes flicked between the two wands, before sizing up the distance between his seat on the ledge and the space over their heads, and briefly Zhi wondered how long it'd take them to react if he should vault over them and sprint to safety.
