Zhi glanced about him, on the lookout for any of Mei's relatives, as he picked his way past tables and chairs. A large backpack was slung over his shoulder in which he had stuffed his beloved panda plushie. It would be more than embarassing if Mei caught him with Xiang, even if she overlooked the fact that he was here for an online plushie fan forum meet-up. Of all the places in Liberty, why the Green Palace?
Turning the question over in his mind, Zhi scanned the place for anyone who looked like a fellow plushie lover, and eventually his eyes fell on a large white teddy bear in the corner, only noticing its owner after a second glance. That must be Matthew, the forum admin and creator, and by the looks of it, he was the only one there so far. Zhi made his way over to the table and stopped to stand next to him.
"Matthew, right?" he asked, before his eyes flicked to the bear with an inquisitive glance. "And.. Kumajiro?"

(ooc: If you want me to leave, I can delete this lol. :,D)
It was around this time when Mei would come home to the aromatic scents of the Green Palace after her classes. She had her schedule fixed to accommodate her bubble tea time, which was essential if she wanted to get through the day. There weren't too much people in the tea shop, but there was this one corner Mei always found herself coming back to - that secluded corner near the mirror and vase of flowers. It was the perfect place for reading her doujinshi while having a nice glass of strawberry-flavored bubble tea. Eager to read the new BL she got in the mail today, she rushed to her seat, only to find a blond kid sitting in her spot, with... Zhi?
"Zhizhi! Of all places, I didn't expect you to--" She couldn't help but notice the blond kid. Stupid blond kid. Oh wait, it's Al. Al!?
"Alwhatareyoudoinghere," she asked in a half-whisper, quickly putting back her Code Geass doujinshi. After that incident some weeks ago, she didn't think Al would come back. With a teddy bear. It

DOUJINSHI, PANDAS, AND POLARS, OH MY.mounties_rockAugust 20 2009, 19:36:21 UTC
Matt continued to drink his tea growing a little bit more nervous as time dragged on and no one showed, he looked around the room wondering if picking the most secluded corner had really been the best idea. It was then that he noticed a young man standing in the middle of the restaurant with a large backpack and looking around. His gaze passed over Matthew, once, twice, three times, and then he seemed to notice Kumajiro and walk over.
He asked about Matt and Kumajiro and Matt smiled in delight. The first person had showed for the plushie meet up. He stood to greet the person when a girl holding a strange looking comic came running up to them. As usual Matt was ignored as the woman asked... Zhizhi? Oh, it was Zhi, then, what he was doing there. Then things got worse. The woman confused him for Al!
"Actually, I'm Matt, Al's little brother." he corrected her miserably. Well, at least that explained the strangely good service...

Zhi almost jumped into the air as he heard the sound of Mei's voice and quickly turned around to face her, hiding his backpack behind him.
"M-Meimei! How was- um, school?" he managed, and in an attempt to divert her attention, he shot a suspicious glance at the book she had quickly put away. "...and what are you reading?" Zhi knew only far too well what it was- one of her questionable BL doujinshi- but after coming upon her secret stash lying unattended several years back, he wished he didn't.
As Matthew and Mei started talking, Zhi took the chance to quickly sit down and stuff his backpack under the table. No way he'd let Mei know he had brought Xiang out, even if he had overlooked the fact that half of the panda's head was sticking out of the the bag- wait, what. He discreetly reached out and began shoving it back in, hoping that Mei was too preoccupied to notice.
CAN WE PLEASE GET TO THE BOY-ON-BOY ACTION ALREADYhwameiAugust 21 2009, 14:28:05 UTC
"It was okay," Mei gave the SuzaLulu doujinshi a good shove down her bag, burying it well under her iPod and make-up, among other things. "and it's nothing important."
If she ever let Zhi see her doujinshi collection, she would be digging her own grave. If Zhi told gege, gege would tell her mom, who would tell her aunts, who would tell... pretty much everyone. As if to relieve her from her worries, the blond kid stood up from his -- no, her spot and introduced himself. Matt? Why did that name ring a bell?
"Oh yeah, Matt," Mei lightly hit herself on the head and stuck out her tongue. She knew she saw his face somewhere before and she felt a bit sheepish for forgetting. "I'm Mei. You're the one who gave me advice on drawing, right? It really helped, thank you!"
Weird. It looked like Matt and Zhi planned to meet here all along. Still, it was weird. Zhi rarely arranged any meet-ups with anyone and he'd certainly not want to see anyone here. Maybe Matt suggested the place. That made sense. Another thing that Mei found strange was that
