WHO: Alfred, Emiliana, and Jared
WHEN: August 28th, evening
WHERE: Emi's apartment, 5A at the Charleston
WHAT: An unwanted guest, forced bonding, and apple pie.
The loud, obnoxious pounding on her front door and the yelling that accompanied it was starting to grate on her nerves.
Granted, it had gotten on her nerves the instant Alfred had announced his arrival some fifteen minutes ago. But Emi had assumed that, if she just ignored it, he would go away.
She had forgotten how annoying and oblivious Alfred had proven himself to be.
Hastily wiping her eyes, Emi burrowed further into her pillows, trying to suppress the shaky sobs that were threatening to spill over for the umpteenth time that night. But it wasn't that she was 'depressed' that her brother had left. No, not really. Annoyed, sure. Upset? Of course. But, no, it was more of the fact that his sudden departure had somehow...broken through the walls she had built up in response to the stress she had accumulated in such a short amount of time.
Well, no. The stress and poorly repressed memories had always been there, but Emi had assumed that it wasn't as bad as before, with things...more or less calming down. But apparently not.
And Alfred had yet to stop.
Pushing herself up into a sitting position, Emi remained motionless for a moment before she grimaced. She just wanted to be left alone, damn it! Crying in front of people and bothering others with her...issues was just something she didn't do. And hell if Emi was going to let Alfred see her during her moment of weakness.
So, hulling herself out of her room and towards the front door, she unlocked it before yanking the poor door open. "W-What the hell do you want?!" She snapped, inwardly flinching at how shaky and tired her voice sounded as she glared up at the blond.
