The girl had just come to the counter again with a gleaming, glittering, full plastic bear of honey when the chime above the entrance sounded its last notification of an arrival then promptly snapped off its lovely little ribbon and soared across the establishment to parts unknown.

She flinched and the man who had flung the door open with all the enthusiasm of a reveler on New Year's eve Time's Square beamed in with an eye searing grin, strolled over and sneaker-screeched to a halt directly behind Alfred. He had his hands stuffed in the pockets of his Bermuda shorts, a Hawaiian shirt as patterned as his face and holy shit was he tall.

"Nice day for a cuppa, ain't it?" Said congenially to Alfred as he glanced over his shoulder at the small, empty tables. Seemingly on the prowl for something. Or-

Alfred blinked at the man and almost had to take a step back just to allow his eyes to see every inch of the man. "O-Oh yeah, definitely!" He gripped his coffee cup and suddenly felt almost UNDERDRESSED beside this very holy-shit-tall man.

"Aye, looking for a Jones. Mister A. F. Jones." John scratched at his stubble, torn between beverage five- a blurry line of text he knew to be a mocha caramel frappe- or beverage eleven, a choice blend of Colombian beans brewed to perfection.

He blinked at Alfred, cocked his head and the face rendering smirk split wider. "Wouldn't happen to know him would you?"

Behind the counter, the woman wore an ever increasing look of dejection.

"Know him?" Alfred quickly offered a hand, grinning widely and warmly at the man. "Me! I'm Alfred! Alfred F. Jones!"

Man, now up close and in person, this John guy was even cooler than before! Those tattoos were so rad... he frowned up at him, eyes not sure where to start and where to stop. There was just so much to look at!
