He looked down at the laminated menu instead. One corner had dried up tuna flecks on it.
"'ve rum pudd'n'" Berwald remarked, his eyes happening on it in the "desserts" portion of the menu.

He regretted not taking a bus as he tried his hardest to hobble across town. He was still trying to get used walking with the clutches. The idea of being on clutches on a ship didn't faze him; if pirates could work with peg legs, why couldn't he!
He was so close. He could taste the salt water in his mouth. He could feel the ocean breeze slapping him in the face.

She collected her tips off the check and hummed happily to herself. She scanned the restaurant and waved to Zhi with a smile. Poor Zhi Zhi looked so distraught. Mei decided that she should go over there and cheer him up!
Before she made it over to Zhi, Mei's steps slowed and she was practically moving in slo-mo. Her eyes opened wide. Her mouth gaped. A whimper cried out from her chest.
There, sitting in A6 with a pale-haired man, was her Swedish samurai. Her handsome, incredibly, beautiful, sexy, silent, strong, and unbelievably hot Swedish samurai.
"B-berwald-san... B-BERWALD-SAN."
Mei's entire body trembled. Her eyes watered as her heart pounded out of control. Calmly, as calmly as she could muster, she made her way to the table.

"This is estupid!" she cried out and flung her hands up above her head. Not a good idea. The lever went spinning back in her Captain's direction and Valen scrambled to grab hold of it again.
"Concha," she swore under her breath and tried pulling again, before a sudden idea made her stop. Why was she even pulling this damned heavy thing? She was a goddamn superhero.
The manic grin spreading across her face would be enough to scare anyone. She reached out to touch the coiled chain and imagined the anchor weighing them down in the water. It would be so much easier if this thing were lighter... like cotton balls.
"Balls, balls, balls ahoy!"
