I remember that around this time there'd be grand renditions of the Passion and long, boring masses only made interesting by the choir. I can't exactly fib and say I don't miss it - I do. Even if singing Bach's rendition of St. Matthew's Passion was hard due to it being in German...there was still something moving about the sound of it all ( Read more... )

You can sing German? You never told me that! How about Russian?

Being in a church feels weird to me. Like the walls are going to close in on me for not believing in that stuff.

Latin, German and Italian. But even if I can sing songs in the languages, I don't really know how to speak them... No, but if you want you can teach me a song.

Really? Not even the churches that have beautiful architecture?

I'm sure you sound amazing in any language. Really?! Um, how about...Oy to ne vecher?

They're beautiful to look at, but it still feels like I don't belong.

It's hard, remembering things from home that we miss.

That's something everyone has to cope with. We all manage in our own ways - I can only hope you find yours.

Typically electronica & anything I can dance to, but I'm open for anything. The variety is one of the things I like most about music, as a whole. So, whatever can move me.

I don't think I'm familiar with electronica, but it sounds neat.

German is a cool language. I haven't heard a whole lot of music in it, though.

It is. I really have only heard hymns and choir songs in the language.

Do you like to sing in it?
