Well said. I'm going back thru the Mageworlds series right now, with the added benefit that it's been several years since I re-read them, so while I remember the general shape of the story, the details are hazy. And I can definitely see all over again why I fell in love with the series.

For me it depends on the subject of the work. The movie Agora is beautiful, and well presented, but I really don't want to go back and watch it again. Likewise with Michael Collins and The Wind That Shakes The Barley. They're just too sad to re-watch, for all that I like the way the story was told in each.

On the other hand, I can never get too much Lilo and Stitch.

This to me is the difference between enjoying or being moved or intellectually intrigued by a piece of work and falling in love with it. I can respect a movie or a book for being well-executed and even appreciate the story it's telling, and never want to read/see it again. But when I fall in love - ah, that movie could be on every Saturday night and I'd line up in the cold to go see it. Or I could pick up the book and just begin reading at random, to go back to that universe for a few minutes.
