Welcome to our eighth prompt post.

As ususal, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1) All fills for prompts of the earlier prompt posts go in the post the prompt was posted in. No re-posting or splitting up prompts and fills.
2) Self-prompt when you post unprompted fic. (This means posting what the fill is about in a first comment, like a real ( Read more... )

Milicest where Ed gets off on giving, but has virtually no interest in receiving (as in, whenever David tries to touch him, Ed stops him, focusing all his attention on pleasing David instead). This doubles David's angst about the nature of their relationship and turns him into even more troubled and self-hating.

What is my brain to think of these things. I feel mildly dirty. Um. I think I like my Milicest terrible and hopeless.

You are not alone, anon! What sort of era were you thinking of? Now or when they were younger?

From early adulthood onwards to present? I also kept thinking that it's a way for Ed to feel less guilty about it (and that in itself, his unwillingness to see anything bad about it because he's just doing it, David's the one enjoying, is what drives David more guilty) and that if the roles were reversed, by David, then Ed too would suffer, so David can't bring himself to do that ...

Basically, I've thought about this way, way too much. Hence the feeling dirty. I didn't want the prompt to be too micromanaging the plot, though, so any future authornon can just disregard my weird ramblings in this comment..

And, so, for the next few weeks it felt like they were on a collision course with the inevitable. The atmosphere was tense around them, and he found himself just staring at Ed, one night, waiting. Ed returned his gaze, eyes dark, and David could only just hear him whisper ( ... )

OP here omg f5 f5 f5 f5

This is just delicious and with a really twisted undercurrent to it all. Like Ed knows exactly what he's doing and won't stop as it'll only lead to David's ruin, not his own.

This time he woke up with Ed’s face pressed into the crook of his neck, and he whispered into Ed’s ear, “Why don’t you just move in with me?”

Ed blinked at him, like he’d lost his mind, and said,

“Don’t be so stupid, David.”

He did end up renting a flat in the same block, and whatever it was that was going on between them continued. Their strange relationship. David wasn’t entirely sure how strange it really was, relatively, because he didn’t have enough experience to make a comparison.

Ed refused to let him touch him, when they came together, shied away from his hands and his mouth, like the thought of it disgusted him. David cried, one night, after Ed had brought him off and dressed and disappeared, and he wished he knew what he was doing wrong, so he could correct it.

At work his colleagues teased him, about his apparent lack of a love life, and the office girls tittered as one asked him, across an open magazine,

“Are you selfish in bed, David ( ... )

Thanks so much for the comments. They really do make my concentration go fic > TV. :DThey were and they weren’t. Different. Because Ed couldn’t seem to make his mind up, and David, for his part, quickly realised that he wouldn’t - couldn’t - force him ( ... )
