*shiver* I hadn't seen that before. I was writing origfic that was leading up to that kind of situation about 6 years ago, and I stopped because it was distressing me too much. Of all the origfic I lost when I had a catastrophic disk failure, that's the only one I'm secretly glad to have lost.

It's not even as if my own fic that I'm writing now isn't approaching it for creepiness levels, so I don't know why I can't bring myself to read past the second part (yet).

(This is a sort-of twisted compliment, because a badly written fill wouldn't have affected me very much. It really did seem a plausible direction for society to go at that point, to me.)
