My first petticoat is P4 which I got along with a dress.
P4 provides good poof but it's very scratchy. I wouldn't reccomend wearing it for a whole day because it'll scratch/stick to your legs and it de-poofs if you sit on it too much. When I bought this petti, I got an extra 2 layers. I'd reccomend doing that as well.
The second petticoat that I bought I believe was P3. It has the same qualities as P4 (no extra layers though) but it's better suited for skirts that don't need much extra poof.
These petti's are only good for short-term ware, for a filler, or just as your basic first petticoat. But they've served me well. :]

It's really poofy, but not so poofy that it's unreasonable to wear out of the house. The tulle is stiff so it's a bit itchy even with knee-length bloomers, but is so cute (printed with tiny fuzzy bows) that it's worth it. Construction is really nice and the ribbons are high-quality satin. It does not loose its shape at all; I don't even hang mine upside down, I just fluff it out a bit under my skirts.
It was advertised in a GLB as the outer layer of tulle being worn over a contrasting color skirt, which looks *really* cute.
