See, now I'm wondering if just letting people imagine the pictures would be more fun for everyone, in the end. But it's fixed now, anyway - I hope.

I love the descriptions, too. Good luck with the pictures. I find that either Photobucket or Flickr is fine. Just upload the photos to Flickr, if LJ is being balky, and link to your album there.

You totally should. It's amazing. It helps if you have a little experience with relatively poor megapoli, I will say: much better to be able to say, "wow, this is so much less scary than Mexico City" rather than "yikes, this smells much worse than Paris" when you're there. But within the category of very very large cities in industrialized but not wealthy countries with long pasts, it's a winner.

Now I really want to see more of the Islamic world, too - Indonesia! Morocco! Nigeria!

It was right near some anarchist graffiti but I'm not sure they were related in any way, unless one was a response to the other?
