We're landed! Officially! Whoo! We got the offical letter, and it's all official and all. Fishwhistle takes our passports to Buffalo tomorrow for the official permanent-resident visas, and I think we get a special card or something, et voila ( Read more... )

Thank you, thank you. It feels like quite an acomplishment. There was more paperwork involved than anything else we've ever done.

And please come! With rats! Rats are cool! Yeah!

Congratulations! Sometimes there's a God...and so quickly! (measuring from the removal of the last unreasonable stumbling block).

And about the wedding: I hope Shylock's "These be the Christian husbands!" won't be relevant.

Thank you!

I'm going to keep hanging around that coffee house to see if they come back. I'm dying to hear more! Either Merchant of Venice stylee, or not.

Congratulations!

I found this season in TO, with the extreme darkness, rather festive. It's the long recovery that's a bitch.

The bridesmaids thing? *So* not my culture. Did I tell you I was one? Just a couple years ago. She tried to make the dresses ones we'd wear again, but fat chance. The wedding was Sept 8 2001, in Minneapolis. The honeymoon had to be cancelled, but we did all make it back to NY before the sky was closed.

And what else--oh yeah pot. Yeah I think the American print media does that also. Admits it inhaled.

I actually remember a version of that song that went "hit her on the bean with a rotten tangerine," which I suspect may have predated the other, but can't be sure. In fact, that version may well have come from Canada with my older brother and sister.

I have my RotK extended edition. *rubs hands gleefully*

I just continue to find all this darkness startling. It happens every year; you'd think I'd learn.

So do you figure that the Canadian media are just anti-citrus?

Oh she's got them all in a whirl
But she's only fooling one girl...
She's only fooling Tan-ger-INE!

Now, who would want to fool that nice Tangerine girl? With her lovely orange dress?
