Ignoring the viking age and Kalmar union drama here...Sweden and Finland are ~*very awkwardly in love*~, but then Finland is stolen/seduced away by a dashing Russian Empire. While he's being "educated", Sweden is coerced into an arranged marriage with Norway. Eventually they break up, and Finland too decides to leave Russia, so things are looking well...until Russia attacks Finland! Sweden would like to help, but he can't do much, so Finland is bitter and leaves again to go woo Germany instead. Sweden watches helplessly as he marches off with Germany to fight Russia again...

Only thing missing is someone dying, but I'm sure that could be arranged, no? >I3
