I only saw Blade Runner when I was 24, in 2014, so maybe that’s why, but my main reaction to it was “I heard so much ‘is he or isn’t he a Replicant?’ and nobody ever mentioned Harrison Ford’s character STRAIGHT-UP RAPES Rachel?????” This was originally posted at https://lokifan. ( Read more... )

Well, that's an uncomfortable thought, which I didn't see with my 1982 eyes ... at the time, it seemed like, he was distracting her, to stop her brooding. Also, with my 1982 brain, I assumed that as a replicant, she was strong enough to easily resist if she wanted to. Plus, she didn't seem to hold it against him afterwards. But you may have ruined the film for me! (Not a complaint - just an observation.)
