I LOVE THAT LINE. Especially since Annabelle says it to Magda, said cis lesbian feminist. There's something delightfully meta about it, in a book that centres around trans women, who are so often shunted aside/mistreated by liberation movements and written as the quirky minor characters in other people's stories.

Feminism! (Fictionalised) memoir! You're probably the person on my flist who'd most like this, actually :D
