I can do it, put me to it, show me something I can overcome

IDK, guys. dora_the_nymph has totally got me into this fandom: she negotiated me into starting watching it, I caught up on Glee series 5 hanging out with her, and her Tumblr is where I have done the entirety of my poking about the fandom. I do love me some meta, always :) And I rewatched the start of season 5 and caught up, and yeah. Now ( Glee 515 )

glee, review, queer issues

I was wondering when Rachel was going to leave NYada since she wouldn't have time for classes with rehearsals and such.

I loved the star wars stuff and them reading bad fanfiction!

Sorry I missed your comment! And haha, yes. I loved the lampshade hanging of them confirming she's rehearsing full-time and working full-time AND attending NYADA full-time. SUPERWOMAN.

I watched the first season and a half of Glee and really enjoyed it. I took a long break for no particular reason (my watching tends to go in cycles and I marathon whole seasons of things at a time, so gaps tend to be long). And then there came a massive fan backlash against the show and pretty much everywhere I looked there was nary a positive comment to be found. As I liked it but never really loved it, that did rather make me less keen to go back to it.

It's nice to see a far more positive view of the show than I've been used to recently. It does make me more inclined to give it another look :)

Haha, IDK, I think it depends on what you liked about the first season and a half? I only kept watching because my BFF is massively in the fandom and promised me girlkissing if I struck to 206 (also watching was a bribe so she'd beta this fic of mine) and then I've pretty much liked every season more? And s5 is definitely my favourite, this last one. My BFF loves all of it, so it's possible, but a lot of my favourite things about later Glee (far more ensemble-ness, the New York stuff) aren't much in evidence early on.
