I cannot tell you how much the renewed focus on Gwen & Merlin’s friendship is pleasing me. Very cute, plus it makes me all 0T3-lovin’.

I like the securalised take on the knight’s vigil, too.

This was my favorite episode of series 3. Loved the whole quest thing and Gwaine helping Merlin out. Loved the little campfire chat they had. Loved Arthur waking up to Merlin's grinning face and then his reaction. Oh, Arthur.

I really enjoyed it, despite my dislike for the red filter of DOOOOM. But yeah, very cute. ARTHUR WAS SO AWESOME. MERLIN WAS SO AWESOME.

Gwaine I found rather less awesome, but that's because I'm failing to get into it. But I don't mind because Gwen & Merlin outside the throne room was SO CUTE. I love their friendship.

Loki, I absolutely adore your merlin liveblogs .... especially seeing as I haven't watched s3 since about March!

I did enjoy the fact that in this episode we get the whole questing concept which is so prevalent in the Arthurian literature. Gwaine/Merlin bonding and Merlin/Gwen friendship is completely made of win (why did it take the writers so long to give us some of the Gwen and Merlin friendship back?!)

ARTHUR: *gives Merlin an arm-bump*
GWAINE: *gives Merlin a hug*
MERLIN: See! You used to show me affection like that! A BOY HAS NEEDS!

:D I'm glad! They're terribly self-indulgent, really, but they help me remember what went on!

So agreed on the questing. AND YES, THE MERLIN/GWEN FRIENDSHIP IS SO GREAT. I'm starting to ship Arthur/Gwen/Merlin but I mainly just love it as platonic awesome. Especially when they LOL together at Arthur :)

THEY SO DO, AHAHA. I'd buy a hair product that made my hair that shiny!
