I love him to pieces; he's my favourite character in HP. I love him right at the start, overconfident and telling tall stories about helicopters and wanting to see the dragon and wanting to be special. Tiny Draco, his daddy telling him he’s not good enough, just breaks my heart. And I love Draco overacting with his Terrible Hippogriff Injury and Snape playing along cracks me up - and when he’s fourteen and fighting his AWFUL NEMESIS with badges and tabloid journalism and dressing like a vicar? ♥ ♥ ♥ And oh, his rage when Harry ‘gets his father jailed’, and his trying so hard all through HBP, all alone and frightened and Potter almost killed him and having to save his parents and being clever enough to find the solution, because he’s a lateral thinker and good with practical spells, and his worn-down fear in DH and trying to stop anyone from being hurt...
OH DRACO DARLING LET ME HOLD YOU

LOVE HER. I love that there's no romantic element between her and the Doctor and I love that she's so funny (omg the mining through the office windows!) and belligerent in her own defence. I like how she so clearly develops as she travels with the Doctor and her horizon expands. Her awful mother and gentle relationship with her awesome granddad make me love her even more.
And her horrible ending when she begs the Doctor not to send her back to where and who she was makes me cry and rage and ARRRGH
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Absolutely.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I liked her enormously; she was great even if I didn't 'relate', exactly.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
Doctor Who fandom is pretty batshit but fun; same goes for the programme :)

I don't like her, exactly, but she's fascinating and Juliet Landau is compelling to watch. I love the way she and Spike dance together, that they know each other so well and move in sync. I like her focus on family and her Mad Seer status and how she's so very competent and full of survival instinct despite being forever Angelus' victim.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Definitely - both in herself and as a driver for Angel and Spike *mild eyeroll*
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
LOL. Er, not so much. Drusilla as muse and poem and creator for Spike, and Drusilla as eternal victim for Angel, are emotionally gripping.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
Love the fandom, love the source material :)

Desperate for approval, intelligent, methodical, has impulse control issues but only around very specific things, loves art and is an artist himself, likes beating things and knowing he's won, likes beauty and prestige and specialness. Likely had a childhood involving neglect of some kind, likely lying through his teeth about his childhood to Peter, and wants in on the El and Peter thing like he wants oxygen.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
I WOULD SAY SO YES
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Does he/she grip you emotionally?
I think he grips others more? But I do feel for him.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
It's new and a little silly but I like it - both fandom and source material :)
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by his/her relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)OT3 OT3 OT3 FOREVER. IT IS SEXY ( ... )

It's hilarious and witty and the relationship between Sherlock and John is fantastic. The first season is only 3 eps but the characters develop enormously. And I spent most of the three episodes shrieking with laughter. This incarnation of Sherlock Holmes *needs* his Watson for emotional stability and to make his every day life *work properly* which is a huge change from most depictions of the characters' dynamic. And Watson needs the craziness that is Sherlock.
Interestingly most of the fandom seems to go with Sherlock-is-the-top-and-in-charge for their fanfic which mystifies me. Yes, Watson spends a LOT of time looking after Sherlock and YES HE GETS SHERLOCK'S PHONE FOR SHERLOCK WHEN IT IS IN SHERLOCK'S OWN POCKET <--*loves that so hard* so I could maybe see a service kink. But Sherlock always seems to be demanding and get-my-phone and I-need-your-attention-RIGHT-NOW when he most wants to make sure that Watson's attention is focused on ( ... )

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, ALL THE LOVE. My favourite character in the verse. Incredibly gorgeous and sexy, of course, and I love the sexy subtext with Buffy. I love that she is so charming and yet can't get past the 'outsider' status in the group; poor, facade-tastic, vulnerable Faith. I like that she's Buffy's shadow-self and darker half, I love that stuff, and how a terrible accident propels her to the dark side. I love her telling Buffy "take what you need" in their shared dream at the end of s3, and the bodyswap is amazing. All self-loathing and yet taking what she needs. The spiral into a near-pyschotic break in LA is just beautifully done, and how Angel helps her and their connection, and "I'd like to make a confession"!!! And Angel coming to visit and Faith being all wryly jokey! And how she breaks out so easily to fight Angelus in s4, and refuses to kill him because she owes him, and beats him anyway. She's horribly underwritten in s7 Buffy but when ( ... )

I KNOW RIGHT. Especially since, you know, they met and we met them in the aftermath of Angelus, and then it's another Slayer and Watcher having to take him down and the loyalty-pragmatism-morals they both have in different amounts and -
Yes. Awesome.
