I’m off to Norwich Pride this weekend! I’m really looking forward to it. The march will be short, sadly - it’s had to be cut because we need a police presence due to rather unpleasant letters from Christian protestors, and there are only so many bobbies free on a Saturday to keep an eye on us! I had no idea of two things before this fic:
1- that you were so into spanking (I need to do a picture for you)
2- that I was silly enough to think that the UK was a great big love-zone where Christians loved and cuddled GLBT people. I am inclined to think that everything's better over there, I guess.

1. LOL! I so am.

2. :) Well, actually, we're very lucky here. The Church of England has gay clergy, and gay bishops will come sooner rather than later (there's voting on it, and the laity, clergy and bishops all voted in favour). I went to a non-denominational Christian secondary school and no teacher ever said publically that homosexuality was bad.

But we do have plenty of homophobic Christians - evangelicals are a very vocal minority in the CoE, and there're Catholics etc of course.

Sorry, I tend to want to talk about this lots - my family is very much enmeshed in the Church of England and there's lots of turmoil in the Anglican church about this right now!
