That was a most excellent birthday weekend. I got merrily smashed on Saturday on other people's money (my friends brought me a drink each, and a lot of friends came out with me) and hung out with wonderful people and danced inappropriately with Violet. And today I had an Indian with Miss Godfrey and Violet while we watched The Emperor's New Groove and The Little Mermaid. There was lots of nostaliga and reminiscing - The Lion King was the first film I had on video, and the first film I cried at. While we were talking about it I actually welled up at the thought of Simba's voice cracking when he yells for help in the valley.
But here is a purple-prose-tastic Draco-moons-happily-over-Harry drabble! All is well with the world. :)
Title: Passing Strange
Word count: 100
Characters/pairings: Harry/Draco
Rating: G
Disclaimer: The boys belong to JKR, even though I’m often much nicer to them than she is.
Author’s Notes: This was written for
hd100’s current challenge, wonder.
Wonder and fear looked the same on Draco, he knew. There was a picture of him the morning before his trial, and another that had been taken moments after his mother was acquitted. Both looked the same: pale skin, parted lips, eyes wide and fixed on something in the distance.
Harry was different; his look of wonder spread slowly over his face like the sunrise. His eyes narrowed a little, the colour seeming to intensify. His full lips went tight with thought. His head cocked, the pale skin of his neck exposed and luscious.
Draco had learnt that look well.
