The Information Design people are right. TeamManila has lost it's edge. I am very disappointed.

Some of the designs still are up to par (multipurpose anting-anting comes to mind) but for the most part I can see a lot of copy/pasting going on.

I got a few shirts from them back when the going was good though so it's not a total loss.

True. Personally I have two of what I think are their best works. The Heroes tee and the From Batangas with Love tee.

I believe that the voting process and their desire to create marketable graphics have destroyed their artistic vision. How creative is slapping the Jose Rizal bust or the word "Manila" on a t-shirt? And worse, some of their other designs just don't make sense. "I (bust of Jose Rizal) PH"? What the hell? And lets not forget the "SOMA: South of Manila" t-shirt which is such a tacky SoCal (Southern California) rip-off for the feeling-'kano crowd.

But yeah, I'm still holding out for hope. I try my best to buy local after all.
