On Moving and Packing
So, what to say? I've moved in o'er at GWU, discovered they failed to clean the rooms before they let us interns in. Not at all cool. Not at all in the least bit. I should still buy that broom... but at least my fear about not having internet has not been realized

i like packing and unpacking, but only really because of the organization it requires... and i LOVE organizing!! i also disagree about living out of a suitcase. but that is probably because in my time at okemos when i drove 2 hours home every weekend, i lived in a suitcase and so i felt like i didn't belong either place. i don't like being a wanderer i think because i have never found a place to completely belong, and so i have been a wanderer my whole life, and it is exhausting. i want a place to have solid roots, but of course also places to travel too because i get restless.
it is a huge sadness of mine that cats as a rule don't usually travel so well. BUT some do! if you haven't read "The Cat Who Covered the World: the Adventures of Henrietta and Her Foreign Correspondent" i think you need to immediately!!
well, enough of my ramblings... i'm sorry you won't be able to come to my 21st b-day, but i hope you have fun with your wanderings!!

... Travelling cat? Hmm... that could be the perfect solution for a Vally.
But aye, part of the liking the idea of living out of a suitcase comes from a fear of having solid roots and therefore knowing that from time to time they will be cut and lost, which is also painful. But naja.
