Lovely progression! I like how you use the holiday to showcase the state of the relationship between them. Love how it ends. :)

Thanks! I had years 2, 5, and 7 from the beginning, and the rest all slotted in quite nicely once I sat down to thinking.

Ireland’s flag composed of green and orange Jello with whipped cream in the middle

Oh, Jack! You really are Irish and midwestern, aren't you? Hee!

Year five: ouch.

Year six: OUCH.

Year seven: YAY!!!

Glad the Jello detail worked--that was one of my favorite pieces! I can't really imagine anyone would do that to the Irish flag, but it practically yelled 'Jack' to me.

The ouch was inevitable, sadly, but I'll second the Yay!

Thanks!

*chuckle* I tend to be an imply-and-fade-to-black sort when it comes to what would naturally follow the intense leaning Jack's engaging in, but I'll think about it.

Oh, that was so very lovely. I loved the structure. It hurt in all the right places, and left me warm and happy.

I have a soft spot for highly structured short fic, both reading and writing it. So glad you enjoyed it!
