They are sad and sweet and pretty, for sure. Now that it's done the hardest part is sitting on it until I'm supposed to post it! *eyeroll* Perhaps I should go work on a 'maps and legends' fic...or flowers. *grin*

That is always tough. You could work on both! We haven't had much for the "maps and legends". And, um, I'm the only one who's written for the flowers.

Have been pondering both, I promise, just not getting much of anywhere. There are probably some people in the Hornblower fandom that would consider pineapples to be flowers, right?

...or there are Reed's plants. Do you suppose any of them survived the radiation storm up on the space station? They might have fun mutant flowers that could cause all kinds of comedic or corrupting situations.

*ponders* That might actually have promise. I'll get back to you on that. *grin*

'Maps and legends' is just crying out for a POTC story, or two, or twelve, though I was hoping to stick with Hornblower, as I'm in that sort of mood. Maybe I should just not fight it and go ahead and do the piratical thing. I always lose when I argue with Jack Sparrow anyway.

I'm sorry to hear that the Notes concert wasn't more fun for you. Sorry if you felt I dragged you there... esp after the dinner thing.

I missed the older gang, too. Emily, Dan, Andrew, Than, Sara, Shan, JRod, Streeter, hell, I even missed Jesse and that's saying something.

FWIW, I was *really* happy you came.

It's not that it wasn't fun--it was. But with my brother graduating, I'm just in a weird space with all things college-related at the moment, feeling old and disconnected and just plain odd. I'm still glad I went.

I did some extra work to bring out the blue in those eyes--they were great shots to begin with, but his eyes got kinda lost, so I wanted to emphasize them when I did the color edits. Knew you'd like that part! *grin*
