Oh, this is *lovely*. Just...ahhh. So Will. :) And so Elizabeth-through-Will's-eyes.

this thing in skirts which wore the face of his friend
Great line.

Thank you! You clearly have spent as much time on LJ today as I have. *grin*

I adore Will. His character just *makes sense* to me, and I don't exactly know why, but I find it very easy to fall into his head. And I tolerate Elizabeth for Will's sake. *grin* I still think they ended up rather Mary-Sue-ing her by the end, but in some ways she redeemed herself, too, so I'm willing to let Will have his puppy love. *chuckle*

Lovely stuff. (sorry. my comments are lacking due to brain power being depleted, but they are no less heartfelt.)

Quite all right. *grin* You get dispensation because you're sick and had to play healthy for the kiddos, I completely understand. *hugs* Glad you enjoyed it!

I just found this and I loved it.

It was so very sweet. Will tackling the art of kissing like he would the art of blacksmithing was just so like him.

It's just the right amount of tentativeness. I liked the way you showed the erecting of the barrier of class and age that changed him from calling her Elizabeth to calling her Miss Swann.

The ending was fabulous. Will realizing there is nothing left for him to lose as he gathers his things, and then somehow out of the chaos he ends up with everything he wanted - perfect.

Off to read more ... I wish I'd known about your writing before now, lol.

Thank you for the lovely feedback! Someone who spends three hours a day practicing his swordwork strikes me as the sort of person to study the art of kissing. :)
