Oh, ah, ooooooooooooooh.

What a lovely evening I've had - Chris Hoy cycling (he's a bit nice), Vincent Clerc playing rugby and now this. Thank you so much.

Among the things of wonder are:

Pickled Gherkins (oh I adore him)
Left Arm spin (Monty!!!!!!!!!!!)
British Museum (shades of Maurice)
That whole last conversation bewteen our boys
Horatio bum up getting his shoe from under the bed

You write so beautifully, don't you. And I love the way your mind works.

Hugs and thanks.

Glad to hear I've made up the third of the hat trick. *grin* It's possible no one in the world will read this but you, but I don't care a jot, given that you enjoyed it.

Archie's very clever for tossing the shoe under the bed--he and I are in agreement that Horatio's derrière is deserving of appreciation from numerous angles and with nicely tailored trousers. *smirk*

Hugs back to you!

Sent over by Mylodon .. loved watching the interaction between Peter and Horatio. Wimsey’s whoever he was made me smile .. and the ending -- Horatio had turned gleaming eyes full of promise on Archie, mellowed by the easy conversation and the fine after-dinner spirits, and Archie was happily lost in contemplation of his mathematician’s reaction to the present awaiting him at their rooms. -- Ah! What a lovely story!

Thanks to Mylodon for pointing the way to this little gem! I love the St Brides boys in all their incarnations and having Lord Peter as well, was just the icing on the cake. Some lovely turns of phrase and I especially enjoyed the last paragraph - heavenly bodies indeed! Thank you

Archie is not averse to the well-placed innuendo. He was fond of that line too. *grin* Thank you!
