Thanks! I had a lot of fun with this one. I was trying to show that each time it was motivated by Elizabeth, even though she never had a direct hand in it. *loves Will to pieces*
I like them all, but I especially love the Tia Dalma one, and Will thinking that kissing another woman won't undo the Elizabeth/Jack kiss (I love his sense of right and honor; he's so right and so practical too), and Barbossa was just awesome. Yay!
Even if he does get darker by the third movie, Will's still got a pretty intact sense of honor, which is why he is so lovable to me. Part of me really wanted him to go through with kissing the barmaid, but Will just glared at me until I realized he wouldn't do it. *grin*
Barbossa's voice is hard for me--I'm relieved it worked!
What they said. I think the one with the three pirates, the lady and the parrot is my favorite for sheer "sticking to the spirit of the ride"-ness, though I think the Tia Dalma is probably the one I like the most. Hee. If that makes sense.
*grin* Yeah, that Tortuga scene was a blast to write--especially the parrot, actually. Tia Dalma was stunningly the easiest to write--just enough crazy to make sense, you know?
Brilliant work, as usual, M. I absolutely ADORE the first one. I love Tia Dalma! (the third one was my second favourite. I reckon Will could charm a snake out of its skin!)
What I love is that everyone seems to love my two favorites, too. *grin* Thanks, J! (And yes, Will can charm me any time. But you kinda knew that already. *grin*)
Yes, I did know that already. *giggle* I don't understand why anyone would not be charmed by him... even if he was doing something rude and 'guy-like'. :D
Ye GADS, my girl! You're so good at keeping the characters in character! I can HEAR Barbossa and Tia Dalma actually saying their lines from your words. It's just so... AUDIBLE. THAT's how you write a PotC fic!
Have I mentioned recently that I adore you? *grin*
Had fun with this one; the accents really are a blast. I'm thrilled they carried: I feel like when I work with accents I always run the risk of things ending up looking like they sound Scots, och aye? *wink* And that you like it means a lot coming from someone with as good an ear as you.
I do believe you've mentioned it once or twice. *returns the grin*
I think their personalities travel through the writing because I'm familiar with their characters by sound. Either way, I love these fics of yours.. *wishful sigh*
