So you never post for ages, then get inspired by the death of an author?

Weird how many couples die so closely to each other, seems especially likely if she dies first, ah well.

Not just any author, an author from my early childhood. Surely even an old crusty like you remembers certain stories from your childhood with enough fondness to feel a sense of loss when they step a little closer to being 'history'?

My paternal grandparents went something like that, and I think my other grandmother started to go elsewhere in her mind after her husband died. I think it gets to the point where all they've got is the habit of being with one another to keep them going, once that's gone there's not much left.

Damn, but I'm maudlin today.

Oh, true, stories from when I was a kid do get to me more than they should, I wasn't having a go, just impressed that of all the things you could post about, you chose that.

There are studies about couples dying close to each other; it's, IIRC, fairly common for him to die if she goes, but not the other way around, strange how things work.

Now, stop being maudlin, and do something silly. Fill in multiple silly internet quizzes, it always works for me.

I have done better than that, I have listed some interests. Strangely, almost 20% of them are unique to me. Considering I wasn't trying to make them unique I'm rather suprised.
