Wow.
Just wow. You have no idea how beautiful you crafted this. Schneizel is such a difficult character to bring to life because he has somehow gotten lost along the way. In so many ways, their transformations are paralleled. She struggled so hard to erase any trace of emotion after Marianne's death, but she had Euphie and Guilford to keep her on track. And he somehow managed to become what it is she was trying to be. Someone absent of desires or egotism. Someone capable of making decisions without emotion. I love the foreshadowing. I love that you can understand him so well. And gah! I just want more. This is the best present ever. Thank you soooooo much. ♥ I don't think you know how amazing you are. :D

Thank you so much! But don't be ridiculous ffffff. And that's... pretty much exactly how I picture it. Schneizel's transition isn't entirely on his part, at least not at first, but he does push to make it actually settle in place. Cornelia's just as strong as he is, but it manifests in different ways, and his, ultimately, was to kind of break himself, whereas she... seems to find who she is over time instead.
And I think he always anticipated that, even if it wasn't what he wanted, insofar as he can want, or allows himself to. He settled himself at a young age on what he was going to do, and he knew he might have to do reprehensible things to see it through, and he knew that Cornelia was fundamentally more noble about that.
Which he admires, but. Yeah.
ANYWAY.
ffffff thank you so much
