So I don't read the papers but once the blogs I read started posting there 'thank yous' for being put on the Guadian's and then Times Blog lists I started looking at said lists and picked up quite a few blogs I hadn't crossed paths with before and petted my ego for the Blogs I already check-in with on these lists. So on my flight, which I was pleasantly surprised by how short it was, I read Why I Write: Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind, by, George Orwell and it was fantastic. The MET!
So I didn't 'finish' a single museum the entire time I was in NYC, but I had my family rushing us in and out; they where the most spectacular part of my visit. I am in awe. So what they say is true NYC smells; and I was there when it hadn't thawed out from winter I don't even want to contemplate August! Hopefully I'll go back soon with friends rather than family. GARDNER!!!!
So I have worshiped my mothers Gardner since before I could read it, she has a 9th ed. copy from her days as an Illustration Major, who of course had to take Art History. Wasting Time!
So it'll be a late night tonight. I have 3oo pages more (of 4oo) to read and then right some sort of review over and turn in ... in less than 12 hours... on love...
I have never experienced what I would now consider love though in the past I have thought I was in love and during that time I probably was experiencing what I was capable of, in terms of love. Those experiences have helped me refine my thoughts on love. Further I believe love lives in moments, it is something fleeting and never quite the same in ( Read more... )
